Last week, Lemaire, an upscale fashion brand created by former Hermes designer Christophe Lemaire and co-creative director Sarah-Linh Tran, opened its official RED account. The brand has already gained 13,000 followers.

In the first post ‘Bonjour’, a variety of male and female voices repeat the brand name several times. This simple, yet effective video has received 2164 likes, and many comments such as, “Thanks for teaching me how to pronounce your name.”

As this simple video demonstrates, repetition is not only an effective way to learn a language, it’s a proven marketing method and a great way to build brand awareness.

To be accessible to Chinese audiences, we often recommend a Chinese name to our clients with multinational brands. However, as this example shows, there are times when it makes sense to build on your existing image.
