November 27, 2023, Vancouver, BC – LAT Multilingual Translation & Marketing, a leading translation and multicultural marketing firm in Canada with offices in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal, embarks on a journey to promote linguistic inclusivity in Canada by adding Indigenous languages to its translation services. This commitment reflects LAT’s mission to contribute to the revitalization of Indigenous languages and to ensure that communication is accessible to all in their native languages.

LAT’s journey has been fuelled by a passion for languages, encompassing translation, content localization, and marketing adaptation. Now in its 25th year, the company feels it is time to expand its services to the translation of communications into Indigenous languages, a step forward to honour and embrace the linguistic diversity that defines our nation. Adding services to Indigenous languages seems natural for a firm that wants to be a positive force in supporting the revitalization of Canada’s Indigenous languages by creating incentives for youth to learn their own language from elders who still speak it.

LAT Multilingual works closely with a variety of clients such as Yellowknife’s Workers’ Safety & Compensation Commission (WSCC), Engineering firms like AECOM and the Quebec Ministry of Immigration, who all wish to ensure essential information is accessible in their communities’ preferred language.

“Translation into Canada’s Indigenous Languages is a primary focus of development for LAT. Given the vast number of Indigenous dialects in Canada, we will continue expanding our translation offerings in the coming years,” says Lise Alain, President of LAT Multilingual.

LAT Multilingual’s in-house and freelance translators provide services in most of the world’s languages, including French, Chinese, Punjabi, German, Spanish, Russian, Italian, and a growing list of Indigenous Languages.
